Steve Morse talks about continuing his guitar journey with Triangulation

There is no question that Steve Morse is one of the preeminent guitarists of our time – and perhaps of all time. After stepping down from Deep Purple in 2022 to care for his wife (who passed away in 2024), Morse resumed working with the Steve Morse Band (SMB), his trio with bassist Dave LaRue and drummer Van Romaine. SMB has a spectacular new album, Triangulation, released on November 14 on the Music Theories Recordings label. 

Before releasing the album, the SMB took some of the new material on the road for The Triangulation Tour. When Howard Whitman of Goldmine Magazine caught up with Steve during the tour, he was literally on the road, presumably driving to the next gig. Dave LaRue was in the car as well.
