Steve and Kevin on Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow tribute

Steve and his son Kevin (New World Martyr; guitar) teamed up with Ronnie Romero (Rainbow, MSG, Elegant Weapons; vocals), Jonathan Cain (Journey; keys), Phil Soussan (Ozzy Osbourne; bass) and Simon Wright (DIO, AC/DC; drums) for a brand-new reimagined version of the Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow song The Temple Of The King.

This track features on the much-anticipated upcoming album Ride The Rainbow – The Ultimate Tribute to Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow, which is out June 19th on Cleopatra Records. More info and and pre-order options can be found here.

Steve stated: “I remember playing an outdoor festival show featuring Rainbow, with my previous band, The Dregs. I stayed and watched Rainbow and thought that every single song sounded really good! Ritchie had always worked with very good musicians, but his vision of heavy, but melodic, rock really impressed me. I think hearing them sounding so well playing live, really helped to set the bar high for live performance.” (source)
